Aniela is a speculative designer interested in the relationships between people and things and in the relationships that the objects enable. She studies value systems, the impact of emotion on object permanence, and patterns of consumption. Aniela explores how we communicate our values, ideas, and feelings through what we wear. Her goal is to understand what sense of fulfillment is and how to achieve it – how to design a satisfying future. Currently her main interest is the influence of emotions on the permanence of an object. Aniela analyses how different environments, people, feelings, things, and materials meet up in the stories that we tell ourselves.

Aniela completed her MA in Fashion Futures at the London College of Fashion (University of Arts London). Her designs have won numerous awards, such as The Kering Award for Sustainable Fashion, and have been recognized by Deezen Magazine and during the Dutch Design Week.
